Mark Stevens joined the Boise Bible College staff in 1997 as Business Manager, soon after graduating from Emmanuel School of Religion with a Master of Divinity degree. Before attending seminary, he earned a Business degree from Oregon State University and ran a family business in Coquille, Oregon. Mark brought a business sense combined with a heart for mission and ministry, all blended with a transparent personality that made many smiles. Two of the three Stevens kids attended Boise Bible.
In 2006 Mark moved to Tennessee to work in the Emmanuel School of Religion Development Department under Dan Lawson. His family was soon ready to move back to Idaho. Mark returned to Boise Bible in 2008 to work with David Davolt in Development, spending much of his time connecting with churches and individuals in Oregon. Mark put many miles on multiple cars telling the Boise Bible College story. Mark has enjoyed taking mission trips, especially to China, but also to Haiti and Niños de Mexico. He was instrumental in coordinating our annual Alumni Golf Tournament.
In 2016 Mark was asked to return to the Business Office. He has been an optimistic “bean counter” with a big “heart” for stretching College funds as far as possible. Mark and his wife, Kathy, are cancer survivors. They are now both cancer-free and have gained an appreciation for making the most of their time together.
Mark will be with us on an interim, part-time basis until a replacement is found. Mark will be missed, but we wish him well in this next stage of life!
